“Life is one big party when you’re still young…” or any age for that matter when Grammy Award-winner Shaggy takes over Suburban Park stage at the Great New York State Fair on Sunday, August 31 at 8:00 p.m., performing his most beloved hits.

The only diamond-selling dancehall artist in music history, Shaggy has sold more than 40 million albums to date. The Kingston, Jamaica native has also landed eight singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and seven albums on the Billboard 200, including four in the top 40. He is among the top three streamed reggae artists of all time on Spotify along with Bob Marley and Sean Paul.

Shaggy’s first platinum album dropped in 1995 and took over radio waves with his platinum-selling single “Boombastic.” The song marked his first appearance on the Billboard Top 100 as it peaked at No. 3 overall.  His star power continued to climb in 2000 with the release of the six-time platinum selling record “Hot Shot.” The album boasted a pair of mega hits, including “It Wasn’t Me,” and “Angel” – both of which reached No. 1 in the United States and were certified platinum three times.

Over the last two decades, Shaggy, managed by Martin Kierszenbaum/Cherrytree Music Company, has continued to produce hits and be recognized at the highest level with eight Grammy nominations to his credit. His collaborative album with rock icon Sting, entitled “44/876” earned him his second Grammy Award in 2019 for Best Reggae Album while their latest release,“Til A Mawnin,’” debuted at #1 on the US iTunes Reggae Songs chart.
